John has been involved with the club for over 50 years now and continues to work towards helping young people in the North Manchester Area.
In 2015 John Biggs was Honored by the Queen he was given the B.E.M medal the British Empire Medal for his 50 Years Voluntary work at the Whitemoss Youth Club.
In 2001, John received “Mancunian of the Year”. An award at which Kevin Keegan was also nominated the same year.
In 2002 John ran with the baton the final day before the Commonwealth games started, passing all of the managers and employees of British Aerospace . Plus John was the Winner of the Be Proud Awards Volunteer of the Year 2012 for all his volunteering over last 40 years of running Whitemoss Youth Club well done dad. Recently John Biggs received his 50 years Award from the Boys and Girls Federation Club to still run this youth club 50 years later is big achievement .
